Generative AI in Health Hackathon

AI-driven applications have exhibited tremendous potential in revolutionizing clinical practice, digital health, and pharmaceutical development. As such, HealthUnity is excited to host our inaugural hackathon to drive collaboration and innovation in these critical fields. Participants will have the opportunity to leverage cutting-edge industry platforms alongside the openCHA framework to create impactful solutions to address key challenges in healthcare.

OpenCHA

Conversational Health Agents (CHAs) are AI-driven systems designed to provide healthcare services. However, while existing CHAs excel in conversational abilities, they often struggle with analyzing diverse data types and delivering reliable, personalized responses. 

The openCHA framework addresses these challenges by integrating LLMs with external resources, including diverse datasets, knowledge bases, and analytical tools. In turn, the openCHA framework promotes the creation of advanced CHAs that can more effectively analyze input inquiries, gather and integrate information, and deliver personalized, context-aware responses.

NVIDIA Toolkit

The development of versatile and responsive CHAs can be further accelerated by integrating openCHA with various existing NVIDIA NIM, easy-to-use interface microservices, foundation models, and frameworks. The openCHA framework enables these tools to operate in tandem, providing a cohesive environment where data from multiple sources can be analyzed and synthesized to produce comprehensive and accurate healthcare responses.

The healthcare applications of integrating openCHA with NVIDIA products are vast and promising. Potential applications include:

  • Using NVIDIA’s Audio2Face microservice to animate 3D characters and enhance the interactive experience of CHAs

  • Integrating MONAI and RAPIDS to assist radiologists in generating diagnoses from medical imaging results

  • Incorporating BioNeMo with an LLM  within the openCHA environment to streamline the drug discovery and development processes

During the hackathon, you’ll work with the openCHA framework and a selection of the NVIDIA toolset to create an innovative solution of your own. The possibilities are endless, and we can’t wait to see what you’ll create!
